Pitterpat Terrier
Pictured Above: Sanchez owned by Trent Vance General: The Pitterpat is simply a cross of Patterdale to Small American Pit Bull Terrier or Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Origin: UK / USA. History: In recent times people have bred Pitterpats for Weight pull in the smallest classes. The Idea of a cross bred working terrier is not a new one and has been done for centuries it has helped to develop many of the terrier breeds we know today. Temperament: A very drivey terrier and does not do well with Small or larger Animals. In tune with its master they make a wonderful hunter and working companion. It is not recommended to be a home pet as they are always on the go and in best respect deserve a working role.
Size: 15-30 pounds. Today's Uses: Hunting Worker and Weight Puller. The Pitterpat has been very competitive in weight pulling. Sanchez has acquired 2 National Championships in his pulling career thus far setting a precedence for the Pitterpat. The have also been proven to be excellent hunters with a tenacity that can only be compared to its foundation breed The Patterdale Terrier.
