A little about us...

This site is owned and built and maintained by myself Todd Tripp. My family and I live out in the country of Eastern Ohio. We raise Banter Bulldogges and have 6 in our kennel at this time, all of which are weight pull trained. We also raise Lop, Dutch and Lionhead Rabbits and have had some chickens also.

This was my prized Rooster "Red" we sadly lost to a Raccoon.

As a child I spent a lot of time on my Grandfathers farm and always planned to live in the country. I was always an animal person but Dogs were always my favorite. when I was a preteen my Aunt  helped to get me obsessed with dogs. She took me to a lot of Dog Shows during those summers where I began to soak in a lot of Show and Obedience knowledge from some very qualified Kennels and People. Since then my love for dogs and working with dogs has never stopped. over the years we have raised many different breeds of dogs and have enjoyed them in many different facets of dogdom. I also am a history buff and have studied and learned much about many different dogs and their history with man. I find history very interesting and canine history is that much more fascinating to me. Information on how I developed the Banter Bulldogge is on our Kennel page that you can visit by clicking here. In looking for an outlet to work and prove my own dogs working traits was introduced to weight pull. I was real amazed the first time I seen well trained canine athletes work and pull hard for their owner. That pretty well got me hooked, I got a couple harnesses and started to begin training my dogs for weight pull. At first we were not that good but stuck with it and have had some success, of coarse we are always wanting more. In 2003 I helped launch and was a founding board member for the American Pulling Alliance, we all put a lot of thought and volunteered a lot of our time and money to make the APA a premier weight pull association. At the 2004 APA National champs trained hard and was able to get a runner up in the 40lb class against a good group of dogs and trainers. We have since cleared ourselves from the politics that are involved with being a board member on any organization but still continue to enjoy this wonderful sport. Through years of acquired  knowledge and my understanding of many breeds standards have also become a Ring Judge of many bull breeds with some alternative registry's. I have been a Weight pull Judge for the APA and am still currently a qualified Judge with the UPF and Irondog weight pull organizations.

A little about PullDoggies...

The old banner for PullDoggies.com

We launched PullDoggies.com in 2002, at that time we mainly were marketing weight pull harnesses. the harnesses business allowed us to be able to help a lot of people get introduced to weight pull, business was good but was not generating enough income and in late 2005 had to cease our operation. Although thankfully we were able to keep the site up for information and have added many useful page for all weight pull enthusiast's. We offer information on many breeds pages most of which were written by me and a few close friends, training pages to help beginners get a grasp for how to start weight pulling with their dog, kennels listings for those looking for a quality puppy with weight pull parentage, where to find a weight pull from a number of organizations and literally anything we can think of that is affiliated with weight pulling K-9's.

"Grace" working for my friend Damon Keels.

We have met tons of great people watched some spectacular dogs and always have a good time in the company of fellow weight pullers. We always continue to learn from others and of coarse from our own mistakes. This sport has captured my heart almost as much as the dogs themselves. Hopefully one day soon we will meet you at a weight pull event and enjoy the quality experience of friendly competition, and hard working dogs!
